| Unity of Chattanooga
cares about the entire family and our mission is
to create a Sunday school environment that spiritually enriches
and empowers our children and youth in expressing their
unique divinity.
Myrtle Fillmore, co-founder of Unity,
said, “Our mission is not to entertain the children
but to call them out. To be always entertained is to be
dwarfed and dependent. To be ‘called out’ is
to follow the harmonious law of the soul’s unfoldment.”
On Palm Sunday, the Unikids made "palms"
that they showed to the congregation.
We seek to teach children and youth
to use their spiritual wisdom to fulfill their soul's
purpose. Our lessons offer hands-on experiences that are
designed to “call forth” the basic Unity Truth
principles that already reside within each child through
the use of Bible stories, discussion questions, fun-filled
and interactive activities, affirmations, meditation, prayer,
and songs.
Unity's Five Basic Principles for Kids
- God is all good and active in everything, everywhere.
- I am naturally good because God's Divinity is in me
and everyone.
- I create my experiences by what I choose to think and
feel and believe.
- Through affirmative prayer and meditation, I connect
with God and bring out the good in my life.
- I do and give my best by living the Truth I know. I
make a difference!
