Events & Classes

Here's what's happening at Unity of Chattanooga:

July 4th

JULY THE FOURTH POTLUCK AND CELEBRATION

We hope you will once again join us from 4:30 to 7:00ish PM as master chef, Kelly Thompson, sets up his grilling gear and the church will BBQ a bunch of hamburgers and hot dogs for everyone. There will also be some special entertainment.
Your only requirement is to bring a side dish or dessert to share. Enjoy each other's company while still being able to go out and enjoy some fireworks elsewhere later in the evening.

Danny Spears

REV DANNY SPEARS - GUEST SPEAKER ON JULY 6TH

Rev Danny will present "Blow In, Blow Up, Blow Out."
The Bible teaches us that Spirit "blows where it will." That is, we can't control how and when Spirit will "show up and show out." We can, however, prepare ourselves. How do we do that? And just what DOES happen when Spirit blows in?

Rev Danny is the Senior Minister at Unity of Gainesville in Georgia.

Annie Sims

ANNIE SIMS -GUEST SPEAKER ON JULY 13TH

Annie Sims will present "THE 8 STEPS TO DIVINITY".

Recently, she came across a document about an eight step path to your own Divinity that she had saved from Neale Donald Walsch. He had sent this writing out for New Year’s Eve in 2019. It’s a pretty fascinating outline and as far as she knows, it has never been published in any of his books.

Vic Sorrell

VIC SORRELL - GUEST SPEAKER ON JUNE 20TH

VIC SORRELL finally returns on July 20th. Since we last saw Vic, he has been very busy with a full-time job and going back to college to get a degree. Luckily for us, he will graduate the week before he comes to visit us at UOC.

Congratulations VIC!

Ester Nicholson

ESTER NICHOLSON - GUEST SPEAKER ON JUNE 27TH

Both beautiful and brilliant, Ester will present the Sunday talk and an afternoon workshop following fellowship.

Ester is a renowned powerful speaker and vocalist. She is a teacher, a spiritual therapist, and author of the book,
"Soul Recovery - 12 Keys to Healing Dependence". Not only has she transformed her own life but she is ready to help us transform our lives.

Wellness Warriors   WELLNESS WARRIORS

Cancer survivor Eric Miller heads up a positive, practical, support group for people who are dealing with health issues. This group will be meeting on Thursdays at noon on July 3rd and July 17th. Share your challenges and share your victories as well as set positive health intentions for ourselves. This group was created to empower each other on our journeys to living a healthier life. Instead of being a wellness worrier, let's all become wellness warriors!

NEW DAYTIME SPIRIT CONNECTION GROUP MEETING ON TUESDAYS

This 7-week daytime class meets at 10:45 AM and will be based on a Unity classic by Myrtle Fillmore "HOW TO LET GOD HELP YOU". We will bring to light the inspiring and simple writings of our Unity co-founder as we talk about how we can incorporate her teachings into our lives in a practical way.

These Spirit Groups are a cohesive, strategic program that is designed to inspire our spiritual community.  Groups can meet once a week for 6-10 weeks to experience healthy, spiritually balanced on the principles called “The Five C’s”, which are:

Communion: SpiritGroup members grow through personal reflection, prayer and/or meditation time. Members begin each meeting with prayer or meditation and group members volunteer to take on the role of a prayer leader for the group.
Connection: SpiritGroup members cultivate fun and fulfilling relationships with each other. Group gatherings contribute to the development of meaningful relationships.
Compassion: All members of the group proactively seek to support and care for each other in times of joy and times of challenges.
Community: SpiritGroups enrich the community by choosing to serve together in ways that benefit the local, regional, and/or global community by participating in one community service project together.
Challenge: SpiritGroup members proactively apply what they are learning through their group gatherings. They encourage each other in their spiritual growth and provide non-judgmental support to help each other progress toward their intentions for spiritual growth.
